“Gingrich, a former House Speaker, said the American people would not tolerate the forced removal of someone who has lived in their community for 25 years, has children and grandchildren, and belongs to a local church.”  (from http://edition.cnn.com/2011/12/18/politics/gingrich-immigration/index.html?hpt=us_c2)

Based on that statement, someone who does not belong to a local church, would not meet the criteria and would be deported back to Mexico, or elsewhere.   And how is that not discrimination on the basis of religion?  As usual, Gingrich has an interpretation of the constitution that suits his agenda, regardless of what is morally right.

Key words:  Gingrich; religion; litmus test; discrimination.
